Evernote the best multi-platform solution

Monday, September 28th, 2009

EvernoteSo you are browsing on your mobile phone and you see something interesting that you know will come in handy later what do you do? wouldn’t it be good to say select the url/ page / file / image / etc. and simple store it in a location that your computer can access? in fact why not have it accessible to any web based device including your blackberry or iphone. Step up to the plate Mr evernote its your time in the sun.

From the website:

Evernote makes it easy to remember things big and small from your notable life using your computer, phone, and the web. You can get going today with a free account .Chances are, if you can see it or think of it, Evernote can help you remember it. Type a text note. Clip a web page. Snap a photo. Grab a screen shot. Evernote will keep it all safe. Everything you capture is automatically processed, indexed, and made searchable. If you like, you can add tags or organize notes into different notebooks.
Find anything fast.Search for notes by keywords, titles, and tags. Evernote magically makes printed and handwritten text inside your images searchable, too.

Evernote is like the Microsoft application Onenote but on steroids, the benefit is that Onenote required a share point server to share your note book successfully but you can still be in the tricky situation of multiple changes overwriting them selves…

I recommend Giving it a try, the free account will get you hooked and at $45 per year the unlimited premium account is practically free..

Freeware Sudoku game for Windows Mobile now available

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

vga71_thumbKamil over at XDA-Developers has created a simple but feature-complete Sudoku game for your Windows Mobile smartphone. The application, Sudoku Mobile, makes good use of today’s high resolution screens, has different difficulty levels and allows saving and loading of game state.

Eventually the developer hopes to implement downloading games directly from the internet.

The software is of course freeware, so there is no excuse not to try it out, but of course the author would appreciate donations.
